Proficiency in English
The Dental Hygiene program at CIDH is
taught in English. Successful completion of the program demands
a strong grasp of the English language, both written and verbal.
Special accommodation will not be provided for students whose
first language is not English or who have been educated in
a language other than English.
If the aforementioned WES course-by-course
evaluation determines that no course has been taken which

Calculators, dictionaries or other aids are not permitted when writing the test. There is a fee to write the test. Applicants are required to bring photo identification to the pre-admissions test for viewing by CIDH.
Candidates should contact CIDH for test dates.
All applicants writing the CIDH preadmission test will be invited to attend an interview at CIDH. This interview is mandatory for those wishing to continue in the admissions process.
CIDH utilizes a comprehensive selection process and cannot guarantee admission to every qualified applicant.
Admissions decisions are based on the
following:
1. Academic Performance in Secondary
School and/or University/Community College
2. Results of the mandatory preadmission
test
3. Candidate Interview
4. Other documentation submitted
by the candidate which they believe will strengthen their

Where the candidate accepts admission to CIDH, an administrative
process will follow to complete the registration process.
A waiting list of potential students will
also be created. Students placed on the waiting list will
receive written correspondence indicating their status. Candidates
on the waiting list will be offered admission as space becomes
available. Once the available spaces have been allocated,
candidates still on the waiting list will be notified that
the selection process is completed and that they will not
